I was honored when the organizers of this year's Charity Fashion Show asked me to model for this year's epic show that featured 40+ designers and well over 1,200 guests. And I was really stoked to open for my dear friend Suzanne Carafano's American Gold collection. Backstage was sheer madness, with four different hair and makeup changes, and I even had a little Janet Jackson moment on the runway when my dress decided to open up and flash the crowd (around 0:51 seconds into the video is when it started, at least I could hold it shut...mostly)--but what are a few nip-slips anyway? It's all in the name of a great charity and fashion.
This year Charity Fashion Show has chosen the Princess Project, a Bay Area nonprofit organization, as its beneficiary. The Princess Project promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing prom dresses and accessories to high school girls who cannot otherwise afford them. Since 2002, the project has served over 15,000 girls to date.
