Old photos, sorry, but there is a loving Dr. Marten's sentiment--I've been living out of a suitcase for the past few months, so when anything I have is clean, its a good day. I have been a loyal fan of Dr. Martens since I figured out how much of a bad-ass you become in Junior High and High School if you put on a pair of these bad boys and stomp around. They really seemed to make my English teacher uncomfortable, which was fine by me. You know, I'll take a U in citizenship (whatever the fuck that stands for in power-trip language) if I can still have my tough gal man boots in place of girly-girl teetering heels on the cafeteria floors. By the way, I still got an A+, I just couldn't go to any of the dances that semester; a tremendously huge loss, I'm sure.

This post made me laugh so hard... the second I read the title in my bloglovin' feed I was like, "Aw man, I remember when I got my first pair in middle school. I was such little half-goth badass." There must be something about Docs and puberty... seems they went hand in hand for us all ;)

whene i was 16-19 i wore docs all the time.- but i seriously wore it too much- and its taken me 6 years to be able to like it again- especially the ones youre wearing in the photos-. mine used to be green and black- but these floral? ones are an whole different deal.want them.
