It's so funny, theres nothing to laugh about, my money thats all you want to talk about, I can see what you want me to be--But Im no fool...

Vintage trousers and faux-fur collar. Vince tank. Acne shoes. Sequin Leopard bag thanks to Coach.

These pants cost me $2, as do most the clothes I buy myself. I grew up in a semi-small town, and we didn't ever have a lot of money--so I have never really taken anything in my life for granted because I have had everything, and I have also had close to nothing; and to me, money really doesn't change anything. I knew we never had a lot growing up, and I never once got child support--never met my father either for that matter, but that never stifled me. I was given this life, and it is nobody's responsibility to coddle me into happiness, that is my own job here. Everyone has a sad story, some people have many, but it's what we choose to do about our own life that matters, not the past--it's dead. When I have a lot of it, or my checking account is about to overdraft, it never really bothers me, never has.

wealth is indeed a worthless concept that i grow so very tired of hearing about..tv, rap, some blogs etc...

im not a big fan of money either, i much rather buy inexspesive clothes and make them appear pricey than break the bank trying to fit into a box socitey deems as "truly fashionable"..bleh to the arched nose opinions of others, and rock on. Loving the 2 dollar pants btw, the proportions if this look are perfect!

Your views on life are so refreshing! It seems so many bloggers want to just show off their ridiculously priced items and while you still mix in a little flash, you've definitely got style - something that can't be bought for 2 or 2,000 dollars.

Absolutely agree. My belief is that everyone gets dealt a bad hand, perhaps even an equal amount over their lifetime. But its those who deal with those bad times well that reap the rewards life has to give.

You struck a cord with me when you said that, "it's what we choose to do about our own life that matters." I completely hold the same belief and think this statement says a lot about you. I love coming to your blog because there's more than clothes, there is substance.

Cheers, Jesa

I would even go further and say that my relatively poorness was a very good school. It was the lack of money that formed my ability to improvise, that supported my creativity (because that was supposed to be the only difference between me and the rest of the world) - and that finally made me a real Ebay expert ...

I wish more people could see life is more important than the things you have while living it. It's really comforting to see people who have moved on from there humble starts still can hold onto that idea of living.

hah I've seen the town... do know Kyle Atwood? Still lives there. I really love what you wrote... I actually had a fight with someone the other day about how money doesn't matter, if you want something bad enough you'll do whatever it takes to get it.
(he of course didn't listen to a thing I said because "I don't understand" because "my parents have money", both assumptions made on his part). ANYway. You have a really rad attitude on that.

Also I loved the BBook feature!!! So awesome. And I just got those copper AW cat eye sunnies in the mail yesterday, super stoked on them. Its raining today and I'm still wearing them... even inside. I'm such a loser.

you go tell em krystal!

my parents are total scrooges, and have therefore raised me that way. ive never taken anything for granted, and dont expect anyone to make me happy either.

annnnnd...ive always found it somewhat ridiculous when people wear head to toe designer items, and snob vintage and whatnot. society is so fucked up to say that is the norm, when people could be investing that $$$ elsewhere, whether its paying rent (haha) or donating to a good cause.

anyways.

youre fabulous, inside and out;)

I just started my own blog, and listed you as a favorite, if you want to check it out. Blushandsage.blogspot.com

Hi there!
I would like to burn a theme at this forum. There is such a thing, called HYIP, or High Yield Investment Program. It reminds of financial piramyde, but in rare cases one may happen to meet a company that really pays up to 2% daily not on invested money, but from real profits.

For several years , I earn money with the help of these programs.
I'm with no money problems now, but there are heights that must be conquered . I make 2G daily, and my first investment was 500 dollars only.
Right now, I'm very close at catching at last a guaranteed variant to make a sharp rise . Visit my web site to get additional info.

I think mentioning the fact that your pants were only $2 while pairing them with ACNE WEDGES is actually amplifying the fact that you DO have money. If $2 pants were normal for you, you would not have mentioned their price, nor would you be wearing $600 shoes underneath them. I guess what I'm saying is that it's easy for someone who actually does have a lot of money to say that money does not bother her. I don't have a lot of money, and you can bet that it bothers me. How will I get through school? How will I pay the rent? Can I afford enough food this month?

holla anon! If anyone wants to spend their money on shoes as opposed to I dunno... more school? Too high of rent? Food? Its their prerogative. Has nothing to do with you. So stop being a whiny bitch, get through school, get a job, and maybe you can buy $500 shoes. But only if you feel like it.
