Balmain's Spring 2009 Genius
Dear Balmain & Christophe Decarnin,
I promise if you send me this dress, I will never take it off during the entire run of New York's Fashion Week...and if it's not too much, I'm a shoe size 40. I have looked, and looked through pages of magazines--every one of them. And I dug through bins and racks of clothing at second-hand shops and vintage boutiques up and down the coast, I have searched everywhere. I've finally realized it's not possible to find a dress I love more than that genius beauty up there, or anything in your collections past and present. I admire your talent in creation to no end, but more importantly for your sake; I know I can pull it off and hold the integrity of the art intact, to the highest standards. Bless me with this masterpiece, or anything from your collection you would find suitable to style me in to attend shows at New York Fashion Week. I will be your walking Balmain advertisement, in top form of course. I'll wear it to your show too if you'd have me. I promise I'll only take it out to the most fabulous places, and the genius of this garment will always be regarded.

P.S--How dod someone finally manage to do the Sargent Pepper jacket right. This piece has been in my dreams for years.

When I think of Balmain's spring collection that's the piece that always sticks out in my mind. Hopefully the open letter will bring you great luck :)
